United States elects a president

The U.S presidential elections take place today. Most polls indicate a very close race. Neither devastating Hurricane Sandy, nor Friday's jobs report  helped to break the tie. Even Astrologers limit their predictive language to a minimum.

If you here analysts predicting, the Webcomic XKCD has a strip which reminds us all of the limited value of predictive rules based on past knowledge:

Which leaves us with the only lesson past truly teaches us: we have to wait and see.

However, one cannot avoid from guessing the results of such races. And my personal guess is that the incumbent is going to win, and do it in a manner which shall be more significant than the polls predict.

My reasons, other than political intuition ? none, really. Haven't you read the comic strip ?
